Role Description

The Campus Program Intern will play a pivotal role in supporting WeDemo Africa’s initiatives at the grassroots level. This full-time, on-site role in Nairobi County, Kenya, involves planning and executing campus engagement activities, supporting program implementation, and liaising with students and administrators. Responsibilities include coordinating events, ensuring program effectiveness, providing training and resources, gathering feedback, and maintaining documentation. The intern will also contribute to enhancing awareness of freelancing opportunities and the WeDemo Africa platform within the academic community.

🔥 What You'll Actually Do

This isn't a 'post on social media and attend meetings' internship. You will:

→ Map and engage university faculties, student clubs, and campus leadership

→ Pitch WeDemo Africa to Deans and department heads — and get formal buy-in

→ Recruit, train, and manage a team of 3–5 student ambassadors

→ Launch a fully operational WeDemo Africa campus chapter

→ Run the first community events and freelancing workshops

→ Onboard 20–30 initial members into the ecosystem

→ Build the campus chapter playbook from scratch

By the end of 12 weeks, you won't just have a valuable skills. You'll have built something real.

📅 The 12-Week Journey

Weeks 1–4 (May):

Onboarding, campus mapping, leadership training, and launch preparation

Weeks 5–8 (June):

Faculty engagement, ambassador recruitment, chapter launch, early community growth

Weeks 9–12 (July):

Workshops, expansion, performance review, and wrap-up
