About the Role:
We are looking for a highly experienced and results-oriented Collections Call Centre Manager with strong strategic capability and exceptional leadership skills. This role is accountable for managing a team of Team Leaders and Collections Agents, ensuring operational efficiency, structured workflows, and consistent achievement of both client and business objectives.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong leadership presence, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in building and developing high-performing teams. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance, and promoting a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee collections operations, ensuring all processes, procedures, and targets are effectively met.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members, supporting performance improvement and succession planning.
  • Track and evaluate performance metrics, attendance, and operational efficiency, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Analyse portfolio performance and identify opportunities to improve collections outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to enhance workflows and minimise risk.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, legislation, and technology to optimise operational performance.
  • Drive training initiatives focused on both technical and behavioural competencies.
  • Identify operational gaps and implement strategies to improve overall effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric required; a relevant tertiary qualification is advantageous.
  • 5–7 years’ experience in the collections environment, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • In-depth understanding of collections strategies and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing, coaching, and developing teams within a collections environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead change and drive operational improvements.
  • Self-motivated, performance-driven, and aligned with organisational values, with the potential to grow into senior leadership roles.
