Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cable Shop Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electrical wire harnesses used in various electronic applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment. You will work closely with other team members to ensure high-quality production standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Assemble wire harnesses according to specifications and blueprints.
- Read and interpret work instructions, wire lists, parts lists, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Cut, strip, crimp, terminate, and solder wires and cables using hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely within the manufacturing facility.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the assembly process and report them to supervisors.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in wire harness or cable assembly a must.
- Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and schematics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Strong knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
- Familiarity with aerospace materials, connectors (e.g., MIL-spec), and tooling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Must be able to lift and move materials as required for assembly tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
