WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:

The purpose of the job is to manage stock levels, generate purchase orders, ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials and components, negotiate with suppliers and liaise with internal departments. Responsible for purchasing material and equipment's.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Manage stock levels

  • Prepare bill of materials
  • Optimise inventory and manage bulk order ordering
  • Manage component database

Managed supplier relations

  • Manage quarantine items and returns to suppliers, supplier quality.
  • Generate and manage (QAD) purchase order.
  • Respond to stock issues & discrepancies.

Accurate Inventory Reporting on time

  • Submit material cost movement report
  • Submit Inventory movement report
  • Submit Inventory wastage reports

Material Requirements Planning

  • Plan orders for production activity control and purchasing
  • Calculate the requirements, receipts, orders and projected availability for a basic Material requirement planning records.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma in Purchasing
  • (or equivalent)

Work Experience:

  • 2 years demonstrated experience in Inventory and purchasing management

SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE:

  • Ability to effectively analyze data
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (including written and verbal).
  • Component sourcing with price negotiation skills
