THE OPPORTUNITY

We are building something that matters and we are looking for a hunter, someone who brings in growth, development, partnerships, and business opportunities with confidence and consistency. You’ll be part of the face and voice of our organisation to funders, partners, and business clients.

This is a remote role that blends fundraising, grant applications, B2B sales, and strategic partnerships. One week you’re crafting a winning grant proposal; the next you’re pitching our product to a corporate client; the week after, you’re negotiating a partnership that scales our impact. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role with no ceiling on what you can build.

If you thrive in fast-moving environments and love turning opportunities into revenue, this role is built for you.

WHY THIS ROLE EXIST

We're at an inflection point. We have a product, we are working on building traction, and we have a clear mission. What we need now is commercial muscle, someone who can translate what we've built into revenue streams and strategic relationships that accelerate our growth. This isn't a coordinator role. This isn't a 'support the team' role. This is a hunter role for someone who thrives on the pitch, the close, and the win.

Key Responsibilities

1. Grants & Funding

  • Research, identify, write, and submit high-quality grant applications, proposals, and concept notes.
  • Manage a grants pipeline: deadlines, reporting requirements, compliance, and renewals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, foundations, government and funding bodies.
  • Translate our product, mission, traction and impact into compelling funding narratives.
  • Track performance metrics and ensure timely reporting to funders.

2. B2B Sales & Pitching

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue business leads across corporates, institutions, and enterprise clients.
  • Deliver product demos, presentations, and pitches that convert interest into revenue.
  • Own the full sales cycle: lead → proposal → negotiation → contract.
  • Collaborate with product and operations teams to tailor solutions for client needs.
  • Maintain an organised CRM and accurate sales forecasts.

3. Partnerships & Market Growth

  • Identify and secure strategic partnerships that expand our reach, distribution, or impact.

·       Map the partnership landscape and proactively identify organizations, platforms, and networks that align with our growth strategy

  • Negotiate partnership terms, MOUs, and joint go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Represent the organisation at events, conferences, and industry convenings.
  • Build ecosystems around our product by engaging stakeholders, influencers, and sector leaders.
  • Monitor market trends and identify new opportunities for growth.

You’ll Excel in This Role If You Have

  • 3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or fundraising.
  • Proven success in winning grants, closing deals, and securing partnerships.
  • Strong writing skills, you can turn a dry grant brief into a compelling story.
  • A hunter mindset: proactive, persistent, and energised by targets.
  • Ability to communicate with clarity, confidence, and emotional intelligence.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience with CRM tools, proposal writing, and stakeholder management.

·       You bring a founder's mindset: you don't wait to be asked, you spot opportunities and move on them

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience working in social impact, tech, education, or nonprofit sectors.
  • Existing relationships with funders, corporates, ecosystem partners, etc
  • Ability to design pitch decks or proposal materials.

·       Experience representing an organization at industry events or in media

·       Exposure to startup or early-stage company environments

What we offer

Compensation

  • Base Salary: ₦200,000 monthly
  • Commission:
  • 5%–7% on all grants successfully secured
  • 7%–11% commission on every closed B2B deal or partnership that generates revenue
  • Additional perks: Performance bonuses, flexible work options, and growth opportunities

·      A high-ownership role with real autonomy and a direct line to leadership

·      The chance to shape BD strategy from the ground up not inherit someone else's playbook

·      A mission-aligned product that matter

·      A culture that values excellence, integrity, and impact in that order
