Business Development Manager – Insurance Jobs in Pretoria, Gauteng at Third Age Group
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role combines strategic business growth with broker relationship management. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding our distribution network by acquiring new brokers, onboarding them effectively, and strengthening existing intermediary relationships to drive sustainable revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the short-term insurance industry, a proven track record in business development, and exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills.
You will be working nationally therefore it is not required that you must reside in a specific town as you will be working country wide and travelling will be a requirement in this role.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field (advantageous).
- Industry certification: RE 5 (required).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management within the short-term insurance industry.
- Proven success in acquiring new business and building distribution networks.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and developing broker or advisor relationships.
- Strong understanding of insurance products, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
