The role of Business Development Manager will involve the following duties and responsibilities:
- Working with external partners to set up the Firm’s Brand Package (i.e., to include the logo, letterhead, profile, business cards, banners, etc.);
- Working with external partners to set up and manage the Firm’s Website;
- Setting up and managing the Firm’s social media presence across platforms such as LinkedIn;
- Coordinating and managing various networking activities to enhance the Firm’s visibility (e.g., setting up speaking engagements for Partners and/or identifying corporate social responsibility or sponsorship opportunities, such as law school awards across the country);
- Setting mandatory targets for Firm Associates with respect to Business Development (i.e., submission of articles for the LinkedIn page or attending one networking event quarterly to establish Firm visibility);
- Collaborating with external partners to establish the Firm’s presence on the market (e.g., submitting Partners’ and/or Firm work experience for ranking in major legal directories and awards);
- Providing regular training among staff regarding personal branding for the purposes of business development; and
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of Business Development strategies to Partners
Job Requirements:
- Possess a minimum qualification of a Diploma in a Communications-related field (e.g., Public Relations, Mass Communication, Marketing & Advertising, Journalism, etc.);
- Demonstrate a good command of written and spoken English;
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships;
- Have the ability to work independently and remotely while being a proactive team player;
- Have the ability to recommend and implement improvements to systems and procedures;
- Pay attention to detail and deliver on agreed outcomes;
- Have the ability to work in a multi-cultural and diverse work environment; and
- Comply with professional requirements in the legal profession.
