Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid Business Development Executive role based in Lagos, with flexibility for some work-from-home days. The Business Development Executive will identify and qualify new business opportunities, build and nurture a strong sales pipeline, and conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends. The role includes generating and following up on leads, preparing proposals, delivering presentations, and negotiating terms to close deals. The person in this role will manage and grow key accounts, ensure a positive client experience, and collaborate with internal teams to align offerings with customer requirements. Regular reporting on sales activities, targets, and market feedback will be expected to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Strong new business development and lead generation skills, with the ability to build and maintain a robust pipeline.
  • Business and account management capabilities, including client relationship management and revenue growth planning.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in presenting to stakeholders.
  • Experience in sales or business development, preferably in the renewable energy, solar, or related technical sectors.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and work with minimal supervision in a hybrid environment.
  • Solid analytical and negotiation skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with the Nigerian energy market and Lagos business landscape is an advantage.
