POSITION INFO:
A leading supplier of industrial and specialty gases is looking for a commercially strong Business Development Engineer to grow its footprint across industrial, manufacturing, and process environments.
This role combines external client engagement with a strong internal focus on tenders, quotations, and technical proposals, making it ideal for someone who understands both the commercial and operational side of gas supply solutions.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred)
- Proven experience in technical sales or business development within industrial gases or process industries
- Strong capability in tendering, quotations, and structured sales processes
- Solid commercial acumen and attention to detail
- Own reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to clients (±70%)
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Identify and develop new business within industrial, manufacturing, and process sectors
- Prepare and manage tenders, quotations, and technical proposals
- Engage with clients on gas applications, supply solutions, and process requirements
- Balance external sales activity with strong internal coordination and administration
- Manage the full sales cycle from enquiry through to contract award
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, reporting, and documentation
