A well-established organisation within the financial services and collections sector is seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Business Development & Client Relationship Manager to join its growing team.

This role combines business development, client relationship management, tender coordination, and service delivery oversight, making it ideal for a professional who enjoys building strategic partnerships, securing new business opportunities, and ensuring exceptional client experiences.


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric (Grade 12) is essential.
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Client Relationship Management, or a related field will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in business development, client relationship management, account management, tender administration, proposal writing, contract management, or a related role within the collections or financial services industry.
  • Proven experience preparing tender submissions, RFPs, RFQs, proposals, and client presentations.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and tender portals.
  • Understanding of debt collection legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Exposure to digital collections, customer engagement platforms, and AI-enabled technologies will be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities aligned with organisational growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients, tenders, and strategic partnerships.
  • Drive revenue growth through proactive prospecting, networking, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support the acquisition of new client mandates and contribute to overall business expansion initiatives.

Tender & Proposal Management

  • Manage the end-to-end tender and proposal process.
  • Prepare high-quality proposals, bid responses, capability statements, presentations, and tender submissions.
  • Ensure all submissions are accurate, compliant, professionally presented, and submitted within required deadlines.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders to gather information required for successful submissions.

Client Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client communications, service reviews, and escalations.
  • Promote long-term client retention through proactive engagement and exceptional service delivery.
  • Facilitate the resolution of client queries, complaints, and operational concerns.

Client Onboarding & Service Delivery

  • Coordinate the onboarding and implementation of new client mandates.
  • Ensure operational readiness and seamless transition into service delivery.
  • Monitor service delivery standards, contractual obligations, and SLA compliance.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to drive continuous improvement and client satisfaction.

Governance, Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain accurate client records, contracts, governance documentation, and reporting requirements.
  • Support invoicing, reconciliations, and management reporting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, contractual requirements, and internal policies.
  • Prepare business development and client relationship performance reports for management.
