Job Summary
The Business Planner is responsible for supporting the development, coordination, and monitoring of business plans to drive sustainable growth and operational performance. This role works cross-functionally with commercial, finance, supply chain, marketing, and other business teams to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, track performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support decision-making through analysis and insights.
The Business Planner helps ensure alignment between business objectives, forecasts, resource allocation, and execution plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business planning processes and drive alignment across Commerce, Marketing, Supply, Finance, and Business Development.
- Build and manage customer forecasts, ensuring alignment with Demand Planning assumptions and business priorities.
- Lead monthly forecast meetings and monitor forecast quality across baseline, promotions, and launches.
- Coordinate the annual promotional planning process and ensure promotional forecasts remain accurate and up to date.
- Analyze performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support corrective action planning.
- Prepare business reports, dashboards, and planning reviews for key stakeholders.
- Support the deployment and continuous improvement of planning tools such as Optimus.
- Train and support Key Account Managers and cross-functional teams on planning tools and processes.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and discipline across planning cycles and reporting.
