POSITION: BUSINESS ANALYST
DEPARTMENT: PLANNING
LOCATION: CAPE TOWN
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To ensure that systems and business processes incorporate industry standards and best practices; and to provide business process and technology support to users to continuously improve business efficiency and productivity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support existing business processes & technology and propose new developments and changes based on business requirements
- Business process design (functional and technical specifications)
- Manage, test and implement system changes
- Provide internal User training, compile and maintain training material and change management
- System consulting
- Business Process analysis
- Project management (i.e. develop and monitor project plan; liaise with relevant stakeholders; manage and control system costs, budget and resources)
- Staying abreast of relevant regulations and compliance matters
- Document, maintain and control Business Standard Operating Procedures
- Report development and writing
- Project & priority management
- Manage a small team
- Involvement in ad hoc projects if required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- 3+ years systems/business analyst experience
- Retail experience will be an advantage
- Advanced computer literacy: Google workspace
- Proven change management experience
- Experience in Business Intelligence (BO) tool advantageous
- Expert understanding of Merchandise processes will be advantageous
- Willingness to travel to the African countries on an ad hoc basis
- South African citizen
