Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role in Nigeria for a Breathing Apparatus Specialist. The specialist will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing breathing apparatus equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. The role involves training staff on proper usage, managing inventory, performing quality checks, and coordinating with safety teams to support operational requirements. The Breathing Apparatus Specialist will also contribute to maintaining a safe work environment by assisting in the development of safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of breathing apparatus systems, safety standards, and inspection procedures
- Experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting breathing equipment
- Ability to deliver training sessions on the proper usage and care of safety equipment
- Familiarity with inventory management and record-keeping systems
- Strong technical problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a safety and operations team
- Relevant certifications in safety, equipment maintenance, or related disciplines
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is an advantage
- A minimum of a high school diploma, with additional vocational or technical training preferred
