Breakdown Mechanic Jobs in Middelburg at Rs Regal carriers
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to vehicle breakdowns and emergencies
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air system faults
- Carry out on-site repairs to minimise downtime
- Maintain and repair side tipper hydraulic systems, including cylinders and hoses
- Conduct inspections and basic preventative maintenance when required
- Ensure all repairs comply with safety standards and roadworthiness regulations
- Complete job cards and report on breakdown causes and repairs performed
- Communicate effectively with drivers, controllers, and workshop staff
Requirements:
- Grade 12 with proven experience as breakdown mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Solid knowlegde on heavy-duty vehicle trucks and trailers
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent decision making in high-pressure situations.
- Willingness to work on weekends.
- Valid driver’s license
- Must reside in Middleburg (willing to relocate)
