POSITION INFO:
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Product / Brand Manager to take ownership of assigned brands and product ranges at a leading IT distribution company. The role is responsible for driving sales growth, managing vendor relationships, supporting the sales team, and ensuring profitable stock and product management.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Brand Management
- Develop and implement sales and marketing plans for assigned brands.
- Analyse market trends, competitors, pricing, and customer demand.
- Identify growth opportunities and new markets.
- Plan promotions, launches, campaigns, and events.
Vendor Management
- Build strong supplier relationships.
- Manage targets, rebates, promotions, and reporting requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, deals, and stock support.
- Stay updated on new products and technologies.
Sales Support
- Train and support internal sales teams on products and positioning.
- Assist with key account meetings, reseller support, and deal structuring.
- Provide sales tools such as price lists, presentations, and product guides.
- Help drive monthly sales targets.
Stock & Commercial Management
- Manage purchasing, stock levels, forecasting, and ageing stock.
- Ensure competitive pricing and healthy profit margins.
- Monitor product performance, stock turns, and profitability.
- Coordinate with logistics on stock availability and ETA updates.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Manager / Brand Manager, ideally in IT distribution.
- Strong commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building ability.
- Good understanding of stock control, margins, and forecasting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced sales environment.
