Box Truck Driver/Warehouse Worker Job Description:
The Box Truck Driver/Warehouse Worker should be a reliable person who is concerned with customer satisfaction and transporting items in a safe, timely manner. You should be willing to work as part of the operations team in order to ensure that the items are complete, picked correctly, loaded on the truck and safely delivered to the customer. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction.
To succeed as a Box Truck Driver/Warehouse Worker, you should be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our customers with an excellent experience. You should be thorough in ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to workplace safety and passionate about customer satisfaction.
Box Truck Driver Responsibilities:
- Loading, transporting, and delivering items to Customers in a safe and timely manner.
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete and the customer is satisfied.
- Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Track driving hours with ELD system.
- Operating equipment and machines, such as sprinter vans, trucks, forklifts, etc.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
- Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits
- Keep a clean and safe working environment
Box Truck Driver Requirements:
- Box Truck Driver experience (2 Year’s)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 25 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license issued by the state where you intend to work.
- Clean driving record.
- Special licenses may be required to operate certain vehicles.
- Experience with logging hours using ELD.
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
- Ability to walk, drive, lift and carry heavy items up to 85 lbs.
- Attention to detail.
- Forklift Certificate.(Prefer)
– Safely and efficiently operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers- Load and unload products from the vehicle using proper lifting techniques- Verify the accuracy of orders before delivery- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the warehouse supervisor- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
Work Schedule for this Position is 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday/Friday
