SUMMARY:

Does your experience include 10 yrs experience taking books to trial balance, managing payroll administration and working with Forex?

Our International client requires your expertise to manage this role taking ownership of part of the bookkeeping to trial balance functions combined with managing a small payroll.

Hybrid position consisting of three days in office and two days remote.

Requirements

  • Matric, relevant qualification highly advantageous
  • Experience in bookkeeping – Books to Trial Balance
  • Dealing with Forex
  • Strong computer skills, experience on an accounting software and advanced excel
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience dealing with an international company

DUTIES

Bookkeeping:

  • Check and review bank balances.
  • Print bank statements from the SB Online banking system.
  • Process and maintain cash books for all entities (8 companies).
  • Prepare, review, and complete bank reconciliations for all cash books.
  • Managing books to trial balance
  • Verify payments and load EFTs on the SB Online banking system.
  • Raise debtors’ invoices for GRS SA, GRS USA, and Beachwood.
  • Liaise with and support auditors as required (requests, schedules, supporting documents).
  • Bookkeeping for China companies x4 (China companies sends accounts where this is processed into Sage)

Payroll:

  • Perform the full payroll function using the VIP Payroll system, including capturing salary entries.
  • Process leave documentation and maintain leave records.
  • Generate payroll reports and payslips.
  • Load salary payments on the SB Online banking system.
  • Submit statutory returns accurately and on time via efiling/Easy File, including PAYE, UIF, and SDL.
  • Prepare and reconcile IRP5/IT3(a) certificates (bi-annual and annual).
  • Prepare the annual Compensation Fund return of earnings (including 12-month report analysis and breakdowns).
  • Maintain SETA training schedules and update staff payroll-related spreadsheets.
  • Maintain employee records, update master data for new employees, and file payroll documentation monthly.
  • Apply payroll software updates/enhancements as required.
  • Support additional payroll platforms/processes where applicable

International payments and related compliance:

  • Coordinate international payment processing, including requesting and completing the required BOP documentation.
  • Ensure BOP forms are checked, approved, and signed by the required internal approvers before submission.
  • Submit the completed payment pack to the bank in line with the required process.
  • Compile and maintain supporting documentation for cross-border transactions as required, including dividends tax return documentation (FY22FY24), company resolutions declaring dividends, and endorsed share certificates (where applicable).
