Bookkeeper / Assistant to finance manager – Full Time
Wellstar Investments is seeking a diligent, detail-oriented, and experienced Bookkeeper to join our Finance Department. Reporting directly to the Financial Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations , maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations – not limited to.
Location: Atlantis, Cape Town
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:30 AM – 04:30 PM
Key Responsibilities : Financial Administration & Bookkeeping
- Process and maintain accurate financial records and transactions.
- Capture and reconcile creditor and debtor accounts.
- Process supplier invoices, credit notes, journals, and customer payments.
General Support
- Provide administrative support to the Finance Department.
- Assist with ad hoc duties assigned by the Financial Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Assistant Accountant, Finance Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial administration.
- Experience with debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and general ledger processing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with accounting software such as Sage, Pastel, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar.
- Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Must be able to travel to Atlantis daily.
Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 (Essential).
- Certificate, Diploma, or Qualification in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Preferred).
