We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Office Coordinator to join our team as our longtime bookkeeper prepares for retirement after 33 years with our company.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys solving problems, communicates professionally, and is willing to learn both legacy and modern accounting systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Accounts payable and bill payment
  • Accounts receivable and customer account support
  • Invoice entry and financial record keeping
  • Payroll processing and payroll reporting
  • Bank account reconciliation
  • General bookkeeping and accounting support
  • Data entry with a high degree of accuracy
  • Answering incoming phone calls and assisting customers
  • Administrative and office support duties
  • Learning and utilizing our long-established DOS-based software system
  • Assisting with our ongoing integration of QuickBooks
  • Working closely with ownership, management, and team members

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or office administration experience
  • Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Invoice Processing
  • QuickBooks experience preferred
  • Experience with accounting software and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Experience with DOS-based systems is helpful but not required
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial information
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
