Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable Clerk for Independent Pre-Owned Automotive Dealer

Earn $22 to $30 per Hour (based on exp & FT/PT status)
We are seeking a Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Mission Auto Sales Family. In this position, perform bookkeeping duties, light accounting, debits/credits, data entry, reconciling statements, accounts payable tasks, other dealership accounting office duties like Tag & Titling, and periodically greet customers.
*Familiarity with Accounting Software Required*
*Tag & Title Experience is a PLUS*
Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable Ideal Qualifications:
- Experience as an Accounts Payable/Bookkeeper in a dealership or buy-here/pay-here office is a BIG PLUS
- 2+ Years Bookkeeping/Accounting Experience is Preferred
- 1+ Years Accounts Payable Experience is Preferred
- Familiarity with Accounting Software Required
- General ledger, bookkeeping & accounting principles knowledge Required
- Accounting knowledge of debits/credits, payables/receivables, & reconciliation
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel
- Strong customer service & people skills
- Excellent phone skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, a strategic thinker
- Strong organizational & planning skills in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor is Preferred
- IDMS DealerSocket software experience is a PLUS
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Fully grasp & understand Mission Auto Sales’ business structure, processes, and policies
- Process vendor invoice payments and code and post invoices and statements
- Perform account reconciliation
- Perform Tag & Titling tasks
- Calculate payroll and report to payroll processing company
- When all sales representatives are busy with customers, greet new customers upon arrival
- Assist management as needed
- Perform other dealer administrative office tasks as needed
Our benefits package includes, but is not limited to:
- Fantastic Pay Plan-Earn $22 to $30 per hour (hourly rate is based on exp & Full or Part Time Status) Full Time Earnings Potential $45,760-$62,400/yr
