We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is organised, reliable, and enjoys working with numbers in a dynamic retail environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping function across multiple entities and will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the finance team.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process and record day-to-day financial transactions
  • Manage accounts payable (creditors) and perform regular reconciliations
  • Manage accounts receivable (debtors), including invoicing and follow-ups
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts and financial records
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data
  • Assist with the preparation of financial information for monthly and year-end processes
  • Support the finance team during annual audits
  • Liaise with retail stores and assist in resolving financial queries
  • Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks as required

 

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working with numbers and financial data
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Experience in bookkeeping or a related role is advantageous but not essential
  • Relevant qualification in accounting/finance is beneficial but not required

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • This is a full-time, in-office position
  • Candidates with practical bookkeeping experience will be given preference
