Role Summary

The Board Member will play a key role in shaping the Company’s strategic direction and ensuring strong governance and oversight. The individual will contribute independent judgment and industry expertise across areas such as financial performance, lending operations, digital transformation, compliance, and sustainable development.

The successful candidate will support the Company in maintaining robust governance frameworks while enabling continued growth in Egypt’s evolving financial services landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in Board and committee meetings, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee financial performance, business strategy, governance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Provide insights into consumer finance, auto finance, lending markets, and emerging financial technologies.
  • Support management in assessing growth opportunities, operational enhancements, and digital initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, governance structures, and regulatory compliance practices.
  • Promote transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct across the organization.
  • Contribute to the long-term sustainability and strategic development of the Company.

Experience and Qualifications

Professional Expertise

  • Senior leadership experience in banking, financial services, consumer finance, leasing, or lending.
  • Knowledge of auto finance, consumer lending, or fintech is an advantage.

Industry Experience

  • Strong familiarity with the Egyptian financial services sector and regulatory environment.
  • Experience working with non-bank financial institutions is preferred.

Governance Experience

  • Prior Board experience or senior management background involving governance oversight is desirable.
  • Understanding of governance, risk management, and compliance principles.

Strategic and Analytical Skills

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to evaluate strategic, financial, and operational matters.
  • Experience supporting growth, transformation, or innovation initiatives is beneficial.

Education

  • Degree in finance, economics, business administration, law, or related fields.
  • Additional professional or governance certifications are considered an asset.
