Job Overview: We are looking for a strategic and technically skilled Blog Content Writer to produce high-impact, SEO-driven content that builds thought leadership, drives qualified traffic, and converts readers into leads. This role blends content marketing strategy, in-depth research, and advanced SEO knowledge to produce authoritative, long-form blog content.
Ideal candidate: You are a data-informed content creator who balances creativity with analytical thinking. With strong editorial instincts and a performance-driven mindset, you can identify trends, research technical topics, and create content that not only ranks on Google but also aligns with business objectives. You’re fluent in SEO best practices, comfortable with tools like Google Analytics, Surfer SEO, and WordPress, and thrive in a cross-functional environment where storytelling, growth, and technical accuracy intersect.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation:
- Write 2–4 weekly long-form blog articles (1,500–2,500+ words) optimized for SEO and structured to support topic authority.
- Build topic clusters and internal linking strategies that support pillar content frameworks and increase dwell time.
- Develop compelling headlines, introductions, and conversion-focused CTAs that align with marketing and sales funnel stages (awareness, consideration, decision).
- Research and write data-backed content using credible sources, case studies, and expert interviews to elevate content depth and trustworthiness.
- Ensure all blog content adheres to brand voice, editorial standards, and style guidelines while maintaining technical accuracy.
SEO & Performance Optimization
- Conduct in-depth keyword research using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Ubersuggest to identify opportunities based on search intent and keyword difficulty.
- Optimize blog content for on-page SEO, including meta tags, alt attributes, schema markup, and TF-IDF scoring.
- Revise and refresh older blog posts based on traffic trends, competitor analysis, and Google algorithm updates to maintain or improve rankings.
- Leverage Google Search Console and Google Analytics to monitor page performance, bounce rate, and user behavior for ongoing strategy refinement.
- Implement techniques for featured snippet optimization, voice search readiness, and semantic search alignment.
Strategy & Operations
- Maintain and manage a forward-looking editorial calendar aligned with SEO priorities, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.
- Work with designers to integrate visual storytelling elements such as infographics, illustrations, and embedded media to enhance readability and engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales teams to align blog topics with cross-functional business goals, including demand generation and lead nurturing.
- Stay ahead of content marketing trends, search engine algorithm changes, and competitive content strategies to keep our blog cutting-edge.
Core Requirements
- Bachelor's in English, Journalism, or Marketing (preferred)
- Portfolio showcasing SEO-optimized blog writing
- 2-3 years professional blogging experience
- Proven experience writing SEO-optimized long-form blog content, preferably in a B2B or SaaS environment.
Technical Expertise
- Strong proficiency in WordPress or comparable content management systems (CMS).
- Advanced knowledge of SEO best practices, including on-page optimization, keyword clustering, TF-IDF, and schema markup.
- Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Analytics, Search Console).
- Ability to use content planning and SEO tools like Clearscope, Surfer SEO, MarketMuse, or Frase.
Preferred Extras
- Experience using AI writing and editing tools (e.g., Jasper, Grammarly, ChatGPT) to streamline ideation or enhance editing.
