Trantham Services, Inc. is hiring a full-time Billing/Payroll Office Assistant. We are seeking someone who is reliable, organized, and attentive to detail to help us ensure efficient operations in our office. This position will be Monday – Friday, 8AM – 4PM, and located at our home office in Alexandria, AL.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include

· Responsible for billing and payroll tasks including but not limited to:

o Creating invoices in NetSuite system and meeting weekly billing deadlines.

o Accurately calculate total number of loads, miles, tons, hours, etc. from driver paperwork

o Create payroll spreadsheets and submit to the payroll manager to meet weekly deadlines.

· Learn the Ready Pay Online payroll system and provide backup for the payroll administrator as needed

· Proficiently work in Microsoft Excel (creating spreadsheets, basic formulas, and entering data)

· Proficiently work in Microsoft Word and Outlook

· Must be able to learn and proficiently use company software programs

· Proficient typing skills for data entry

· Basic calculator use

· Miscellaneous sorting, filing, and scanning of paperwork.

· Answer phone calls, take accurate messages, and provide good customer service

· Complete other administrative tasks, as assigned

Job Qualifications and Skills:

· Must be able to effectively problem-solve in a timely manner.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Must be detail-oriented, organized, accurate, and able to plan work activities to use time efficiently.

· Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Associate’s degree not required, but preferred.

· Minimum of 1-year experience in an office setting.

Compensation and Benefits:

· This position is paid hourly, and pay is based on experience.
