We are Hiring! Front Shop Cashier Needed
We are a busy bakery and takeaway shop situated in Oakdale, Bellville, looking for a friendly and reliable Front Shop Cashier to join our team. If you have a positive attitude and enjoy interacting with customers in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
Working Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a warm and welcoming smile.
- Accurately and efficiently process customer orders for bakery items and takeaways.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system (training provided.)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic front counter and dining area.
- Restock displays and ensure products are presented attractively.
- Answer customer questions about our menu items and ingredients.
Requirements:
- Reside near Oakdale, Bellville is a plus or able to reliably commute to the area.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service (in a food environment is a plus!).
- Basic math skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
- A positive, "can-do" attitude and a team player.
- Please note: This position requires standing for extended periods.
