Duties
- Assist in food preparation including mixing, baking, and assembling various baked goods and pastries
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision using piping techniques, fondant, and other decorating tools
- Package baked items carefully to maintain freshness and presentation for retail display or catering orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety standards
- Support food production by measuring ingredients, prepping supplies, and managing inventory levels
- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene throughout the baking process
Requirements
- Previous experience in baking, pastry arts, or a related culinary field is highly preferred
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with baking techniques are essential for success in this role
- Knowledge of cake decorating methods and food presentation enhances your ability to excel here
- Experience with packaging baked goods for retail or catering is a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices
