Position: Automotive Window Tinter / Smash & Grab Technician – Gauteng
Remuneration: Market Related dependent on skill set, knowledge, and experience
Purpose Of The Job:
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Window Tinter / Smash & Grab Technician to join their growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on professional with a strong technical background in automotive tinting applications and smash & grab installations, combined with a passion for quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will be responsible for professionally installing window tinting and smash & grab safety film on a variety of passenger vehicles while ensuring excellent workmanship standards, attention to detail, and efficient turnaround times.
Responsibilities:
- Install automotive window tinting and smash & grab safety film to manufacturer and company standards
- Prepare vehicle surfaces prior to film application
- Ensure clean, bubble-free, and high-quality installations
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality control standards are met
- Advise customers on product options, film care, and maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the workshop area
- Handle customer vehicles with care and professionalism
- Ensure all installations are completed within required turnaround times
- Assist with stock control and material usage where required
- Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and workmanship standards
Requirements:
- 2-3 years current experience as an Automotive Window Tinter / Smash & Grab Technician essential
- Proven experience with automotive film installations and tinting applications
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s licence advantageous
- Stable employment history preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
