Duties
Our shop works on most all makes and most all models, of cars and light trucks up thru 1 ton. Inspecting, Diagnosing, advising on best repairs needed, and then performing necessary repairs will be required.
Conduct repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, and hydraulic systems to ensure vehicles operate smoothly and safely.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and fabrication techniques for assembly, repairs, and modifications.
- Conduct vehicle inspections including alignment checks and air brake system testing; perform tire service and wheel balancing as needed.
- Maintain detailed service records; interpret schematics for complex repairs; perform heavy lifting safely during equipment repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service orders while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic background with a strong understanding of automotive repair processes.
- Proficiency in using schematics for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues across various machinery types.
- Hands-on experience with all makes and models, domestic, european and asian.
- Knowledge of gas and diesel engines, HVAC, brakes, chassis, body mechanics will be needed.
- Ability to perform diagnostics using automotive diagnostics tools; skilled in brake repair, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with excellent hand tool skills; capable of performing assembly and equipment repair efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills; able to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting; experience working with power tools; safety-conscious approach when handling heavy machinery or performing welding tasks. Pay: $24.00 – $32.00 per hour
