Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Automotive Mechanic with a minimum of five years of experience to join our dynamic service team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of vehicles, including GM models, utilizing your extensive mechanical expertise. As a key player in our automotive repair shop, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles efficiently while providing exceptional customer service. Your technical proficiency and dedication will ensure our customers’ vehicles operate safely and reliably, keeping them on the road with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, powertrain systems, suspension, shocks & struts, brakes, and steering systems.
- Execute specialized repairs such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration, diesel engine repairs, air brake systems, and welding tasks as needed.
- Complete routine services like oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, tire service, and vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for disassembly and reassembly of vehicle parts while adhering to safety standards.
- Interpret technical schematics and repair manuals to troubleshoot complex automotive electrical and mechanical issues accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed and communicate clearly with customers about necessary services and estimated timelines.
Qualifications
- Certified Automotive Mechanic with at least five years of hands-on experience in a dealership or independent shop setting.
- Proven expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical repair, and electrical systems troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of GM vehicles is preferred but not mandatory; experience with other makes is also valued.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, diesel engines, air brake systems, transmissions, wheel alignment, suspension components, tire service, shocks & struts is essential.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and using diagnostic software to pinpoint issues quickly.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools for various repair tasks while maintaining safety protocols.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients.

Pay: $19.50 – $23.50 per hour
