About The Job
- To diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicle electrical systems, ensuring optimal functionality, safety, and reliability of automotive components in line with manufacturer specifications and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose electrical faults in vehicles using appropriate diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
- Repair and maintain vehicle wiring systems, lighting, ignition, and charging systems.
- Install electrical components such as alarms, tracking devices, sensors, and audio systems.
- Perform complete vehicle wiring harness replacement when required.
- Service and maintain alternators, starter motors, and battery systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic control units (ECUs) and related systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Interpret and work from technical diagrams, schematics, and wiring layouts.
- Ensure all electrical repairs and installations comply with safety and manufacturer standards.
- Maintain accurate records of diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaborate with mechanics and other technicians to resolve complex issues.
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns and provide on-site electrical support when required.
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in automotive electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of complete vehicle electrical systems (experience with FAW Jiefang and Sinotruk HOWO is an added advantage).
- Proven experience in wiring harness replacement, alternator, and starter motor servicing.
- Experience with electronic fuel injection (EFI) systems is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel for fieldwork when required.
- High level of responsibility, reliability, and safety awareness.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
