SUMMARY:
Seeking a hands-on Automation Technician to support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial automation systems.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities
- Build, install, and commission automation systems (panels, wiring, mechanical components)
- Read and modify electrical schematics
- Panel building and wiring to spec
- Perform fabrication (grinding, welding, basic metalwork)
- Troubleshoot PLCs, robotics, and automation systems
- Support project delivery and meet deadlines
- Travel locally/internationally for installations
- Ensure safety compliance and clear communication with teams/clients
Requirements
Education:
- Trade Certificate (Electrical / Millwright / Mechatronic)
Experience:
- Automation installations, panel building, commissioning
- PLCs & robotics (advantageous)
Technical Skills:
- Electrical & mechanical knowledge
- Ability to read drawings
- Skilled with tools and fault-finding
Soft Skills:
- Problem-solving mindset
- Strong work ethic
- Team player with good communication
Additional
- Willing to travel (including ±3 months abroad)
- Valid driver’s license
