The Car Clinic of Miami is growing, and we are looking for the right person to join our team as a General Service Technician with the opportunity to grow into a stronger B-Level Technician role.
This is not just a basic oil change position.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing clean work, wants to learn, follows process, and understands that every vehicle we work on belongs to a real person or family who is trusting us to keep them safe.
We are a family-owned independent auto repair shop in Miami. Our shop is focused on honesty, quality, transparency, and doing the job the right way. We are growing fast, and we need a technician who can help us keep vehicles moving through the shop while protecting our standard of work.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities include:
Performing oil changes and maintenance services
Tire rotations and basic tire services
Battery testing and replacement
Replacing filters, bulbs, wipers, and basic components
Performing brake inspections and brake repairs
Performing fluid services
Assisting senior technicians with larger jobs
Performing digital vehicle inspections with clear photos and notes
Helping identify needed maintenance and safety concerns
Keeping the shop clean and organized
Moving vehicles safely and professionally
Following shop processes and repair procedures
Communicating clearly with the team
Maintaining a high standard of quality and care
What We’re Looking For
The right person should be:
Reliable and on time
Clean and organized
Coach-able and willing to learn
Fast-moving without being careless
Detail-oriented
Able to follow instructions and shop processes
Respectful toward customers, teammates, and vehicles
Comfortable using a tablet or digital inspection system
Interested in growing as a technician
Focused on doing quality work, not cutting corners
Required Experience
At least 1 year of automotive shop experience preferred.
You should be comfortable with:
Oil changes
Tire rotations
Basic inspections
Basic maintenance services
Basic tools and shop equipment
Working safely around vehicles
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
Brakes
Suspension work
Fluid exchanges
Tire mounting and balancing
A/C service
Digital vehicle inspections
Using a shop management system
Working in a busy independent repair shop
What We Do Not Want
This position is not for someone who:
Needs to be constantly pushed
Does sloppy work
Does not take feedback well
Cuts corners
Shows up late
Has a bad attitude
Does not care about the customer
Wants to stay stuck doing the bare minimum
We are building a strong team, and we are serious about protecting the culture of the shop.
Pay and Growth
Starting pay is $20 to $24 per hour based on experience and ability.
We review performance after the first 30 and 90 days. If you follow our process, produce clean work, show good attitude, and help the team move vehicles through the shop, there is room to grow.
This role can grow into a stronger B-Level Technician position for the right person.
