Job Description
The attorney would handle small to mid-sized private M&A transactions with minimal supervision (but always with a safety net and mentorship of the senior attorneys at the firm). Lately we’ve had a high volume of deal flow involving veterinary hospital acquisitions (representing private equity backed consolidators) and sale-side transactions (representing veterinarians selling to PE).
About us
Payne PLLC is a boutique firm solely focused on a private company mergers and acquisition practice and general corporate transactional practice. Our bread and butter is the acquisition of small and mid-sized private companies. We are former big firm lawyers and our work is big-firm level corporate transaction/deal work (but we’re a small boutique firm and do our best to preserve our quality of life). We live in San Antonio, Texas, but our clients are located throughout Texas and the US (and our deals are in all 50 state).
About the Candidate
Please do not apply unless you have a high ranking from a prestigious law school and at least three (3) years of corporate M&A experience at a big law firm. Applicants without legitimate law firm M&A experience can’t be considered (but it does not necessarily have to be the last thing you’ve done – for example if you’ve been in house more recently). Opportunity to work remotely for the right candidate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 – $300,000.00 per year
