The Sub-Editorial department ensures the quality and accuracy of BMI’s vast portfolio of macroeconomic, political risk and industry research content.

The Pretoria-based Sub-Editorial team is high performing, socially conscious and highly engaged with colleagues across the world.
We’ll Count On You To:
Proofread political, economic and industry-specific content.
Check copy for consistency, style, figures, libel & copyright infringement, grammar and punctuation.
Communicate closely with the wider Research, Sub-Editorial and Production teams to ensure timely publication of content.
Manage high daily and weekly workloads.
Contribute to sub-editorial process improvements.
What You Need to Have:
Degree in an English language-oriented or adjacent field.
Experience of editing/proofreading in an English language environment.
Excellent written English, grammar and proofreading skills, besides meticulous attention to detail.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and an ability to grasp new technologies/systems quickly.

Experience working with content management systems.
