  • Lead the preparation and review of tax returns for businesses and individuals, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Oversee tax compliance processes and provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to optimize tax positions
  • Manage and resolve complex tax issues through in-depth research, technical analysis, and application of relevant laws and regulations
  • Lead tax audits, including planning, documentation, and direct liaison with external auditors and tax authorities
  • Review and approve quarterly and annual tax reports, ensuring timely submission and high-quality deliverables
  • Develop and implement tax policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and compliance
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the organization and advising senior stakeholders accordingly
  • Manage relationships with external advisors, consultants, and regulatory bodies
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of tax professionals, ensuring performance management and capability building
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the tax function, including process optimization and automation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
  • Professional certification such as CPA,or equivalent is preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in tax, with strong exposure to corporate tax, VAT, and tax compliance
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role, leading and developing teams
  • Strong knowledge of local tax laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively
  • Experience in handling tax audits and dealing with tax authorities
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex tax matters
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (Oracle)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
