As the Group expands its funding requirements and investor engagement activities, NCDF Group is seeking a high-calibre Assistant Chief Financial Officer (Capital Raising) to help drive its capital formation agenda at a strategic and market-facing level.
Role Summary
The Assistant Chief Financial Officer (Capital Raising) is a senior executive role responsible for supporting the Group’s capital raising efforts, investor relationship development, financial structuring, investment product marketing, and fundraising readiness.
The successful candidate will help lead the market-facing financial agenda for NCDF Group by building investor networks, cultivating lender and capital partner relationships, coordinating fundraising materials, strengthening financial models, organising diligence readiness, and supporting the commercial positioning of the Group’s investment products.
This role is designed for a finance leader who combines technical financial depth with strong commercial judgement, investor credibility, and the ability to convert financial opportunities into investable market propositions.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising and Funding Execution
• Support and lead capital mobilisation initiatives across equity, debt, blended finance, private placements, structured finance, and strategic capital partnerships.
• Help design funding strategies across the Group’s capital needs and investment opportunities.
• Participate in funding rounds, investor discussions, capital structuring processes, and transaction preparation.
• Coordinate financial readiness and internal support for fundraising processes.
Investor Relations and Network Building
• Build and maintain relationships with government-linked funding bodies, family offices, diaspora investors, institutional investors, DFIs, venture capitalists, philanthropists, impact investors, HNWIs, qualified investors, and debt lenders.
• Develop and manage a high-quality investor and lender pipeline.
• Support investor meetings, market briefings, roadshows, and follow-up engagement.
• Strengthen the Group’s long-term access to capital through disciplined relationship management.
Marketing of Investment Products
• Lead and support the strategic financial marketing of NCDF Group’s investment products and capital opportunities.
• Help shape product positioning for different investor categories and market segments.
• Support the preparation of teasers, memoranda, FAQs, financial summaries, and investor presentations.
• Ensure that products are introduced to the market with clarity, credibility, and commercial logic.
Financial Modelling and Capital Structuring
• Develop robust financial models, forecasts, funding scenarios, runway analyses, and valuation support materials.
• Assess debt-equity options, cost of capital, dilution implications, and return expectations.
• Support leadership in designing appropriate capital structures across platforms and opportunities.
Due Diligence and Data Room Management
• Organise and maintain investor-ready data rooms.
• Ensure financial statements, schedules, forecasts, and supporting materials are accurate and current.
• Support diligence requests and improve transaction readiness across the Group.
Strategic Advisory Support
• Provide high-level financial and market-facing support to senior leadership on capital raising priorities.
• Help align fundraising, investor engagement, and product marketing with the Group’s broader institutional strategy.
Qualification Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, banking, investment, or a related discipline is required.
• A recognised professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, CPA, CIS, or CIMA is strongly preferred.
• An MBA, MSc Finance, MSc Investment, MSc Financial Economics, or a comparable postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
• Strong experience in capital raising, corporate finance, investment banking, private markets, investor relations, strategic finance, or structured finance is required.
• Practical exposure to equity fundraising, debt structuring, private placements, capital products, or institutional funding transactions is highly desirable.
• Advanced financial modelling, forecasting, scenario analysis, and valuation capability are essential.
• Experience developing investor materials, investment memoranda, or fundraising documentation is required.
• Experience engaging DFIs, institutional investors, family offices, diaspora investors, HNWIs, impact investors, venture capital, private equity, or debt lenders will be a major advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial propositions credibly, are essential.
