SUMMARY:
POSITION INFO:
Responsible for the assembly, preparation, and basic servicing of motorcycles, ensuring all units are completed accurately, safely, and according to company and manufacturer standards before delivery.
This is a hands-on technical role, not general warehouse work.
This role is best suited to candidates with mechanical / technical assembly experience, ideally within motorcycles, automotive, or similar environments.
It is not suited to general labour, warehouse-only, or non-technical roles.
Core Responsibilities 1. Motorcycle Assembly
- Assemble motorcycles according to manufacturer guidelines
- Ensure correct fitting of all parts and components
- Check all bolts, fittings, and safety points
- Install accessories where required
- Ensure units are ready for inspection
- Pre-Delivery Preparation
- Prepare units for dealer/customer delivery
- Conduct basic checks before release
- Ensure correct model/specification
- Identify and report defects or missing parts
- Ensure units are clean and presentable
- Quality Control
- Follow assembly procedures strictly
- Maintain high workmanship standards
- Ensure no damaged or incorrect parts are used
- Report issues immediately
- Basic Servicing (Limited Scope)
- Perform basic servicing on internal fleet (Hello Paisa)
- Conduct routine checks and identify issues
- Ensure units are safe and roadworthy
- Maintain basic service records
Note: This function is limited and may be reduced over time.
- Parts & Warehouse Support
- Collect and return parts correctly
- Assist with stock handling when required
- Support warehouse operations when needed
- General Support & Safety
- Assist with moving, loading, and offloading units
- Maintain clean and safe working environment
- Follow all safety procedures and use tools correctly
Minimum Requirements
- Mechanical / technical experience (essential)
- Experience in:
- Motorcycle / automotive assembly OR
- Mechanical workshop / technical environment
- Good understanding of tools and mechanical components
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Based in or able to commute to Bellville
Advantageous
- Motorcycle experience (highly beneficial)
- Basic servicing / maintenance exposure
- Experience in assembly or production environments
