My client is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join their production team in the Netherlands. In this role, you will assemble mechanical, electromechanical, and structural components used in automotive, machine building, or aircraft manufacturing environments. You will work from technical drawings and specifications to ensure every build meets strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical, electromechanical, and structural components according to technical drawings, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches) to complete assembly tasks accurately.
- Perform in-process and final quality checks to ensure components and assemblies meet dimensional and functional requirements.
- Identify and report defects, deviations, or non-conformities, and support root-cause troubleshooting.
- Support functional testing of sub-assemblies and finished products prior to hand-off.
- Maintain accurate assembly records, checklists, and production documentation.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures at all times, including use of appropriate PPE.
- Collaborate with engineers, quality inspectors, and fellow technicians to resolve production issues and improve assembly processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in line with 5S/lean manufacturing principles.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBO level 3/4 vocational diploma (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aircraft Maintenance, or a related technical field.
- 2–3 years of hands-on assembly experience in automotive manufacturing, machine building, or aerospace/aircraft production.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials.
- Practical experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Working knowledge of quality standards relevant to the sector (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision and quality.
- Good command of Dutch (understand).
- Physically able to perform assembly work, including standing, bending, and lifting as required.
- Team player with a proactive, safety-first mindset.
- Eligible to live and work in the Netherlands
