Simond Private School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Art Teacher to inspire and guide learners across Grades 4–12. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction within the CAPS and IEB frameworks.
The ideal candidate is a committed educator who combines strong subject expertise with innovative teaching methods, effectively integrating technology to enhance learning. Beyond the classroom, the teacher plays a vital role in learner development, assessment, and meaningful engagement with parents and colleagues.

Minimum Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Art Education (Afrikaans and English) or equivalent.
- SACE registration – essential.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ teaching experience in Art Education (IEB experience advantageous).
- Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills.
- Proficient in integrating technology into teaching.
- Police clearance and clearance from the National Register for Sex Offenders (NRSO).
- Commitment to Simond Private School’s Christian ethos and educational philosophy
Beneficial, in addition to Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience
- Experience in working with parents is advantageous
