Our Security Company is seeking to Employee an Armed officer PSIRA Grade C.
A PSIRA Grade C officer is a trained, certified security professional in South Africa equipped to handle access control, asset protection, and risk assessment. To transition into an armed role (such as Armed Response or Cash-in-Transit), you must hold Grade C, pass specialized firearm training, and secure your competency certificates.
Core Requirements for Armed Grade C
- Basic Certification: Valid PSIRA Grade C certificate.
- Firearm Competency: Proficiency in handguns, shotguns, or rifles (often required depending on the specific job), and a valid SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate.
- Additional Training: Advanced modules like Armed Reaction, Tactical Response, or Crowd Control are frequently needed.
- Experience: Typically 1 to 2 years of general security or access control experience.
Security & PSIRA Accreditation
- PSIRA Registration: Valid, accredited registration at Grade C.
- Vetting & Background: Must have a completely clear criminal record and no pending criminal cases.
