Role Description The Architecture Technical Office Engineer (Sheikh Zayed) is a full-time, on-site role based in Qesm El Sheikh Zaid. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and coordinating architectural shop drawings, ensuring alignment with design standards, project specifications, and site conditions. The engineer will assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), conducting quantity take-offs, and supporting cost control activities in collaboration with project and site teams. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with civil and electrical engineers, resolving technical issues, updating documentation, and ensuring that technical office outputs meet project timelines and quality requirements. The role also requires regular communication with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to support smooth project execution.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in architectural shop drawings and coordination with design and site teams.
- Candidates should possess skills in BOQ preparation and Quantity Surveying to support accurate cost estimation and material planning.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Civil Engineering for understanding structural requirements and site constraints.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Electrical Engineering concepts to coordinate architectural works with building services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Previous experience in technical office roles within construction or fit-out projects is highly beneficial.
