We are seeking a highly skilled Millwork Finisher / Painter with 5–10+ years of experience in high-end architectural millwork, custom cabinetry, and luxury residential projects.
This position is for an experienced professional who takes pride in producing exceptional finishes and understands the quality standards required for premium custom woodworking projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, sand, and finish custom millwork, cabinetry, doors, panels, and furniture-grade components.
- Apply stains, sealers, primers, paints, conversion varnishes, lacquers, and urethane finishes.
- Perform color matching and stain matching to client samples and specifications.
- Operate HVLP, pressure pot, and other professional spray equipment.
- Inspect work throughout the finishing process to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Perform touch-ups, repairs, and final detailing before installation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe finishing area.
- Work closely with production and project management teams to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience in architectural wood finishing, custom cabinetry, or high-end millwork.
- Strong knowledge of paint-grade and stain-grade finishing techniques.
- Experience with conversion varnish, pre-catalyzed and post-catalyzed finishes, 2K urethanes, and waterborne coatings.
- Ability to perform accurate color matching and stain matching.
- Extensive experience operating professional spray equipment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in luxury residential, commercial, or architectural millwork environments.
- Ability to read shop drawings and finish schedules.
- Experience finishing veneers, hardwoods, MDF, and specialty materials.
