Job Title: Aluminium Fitter / Installer (Windows & Doors)
Job Summary:
A company based in Shakaskraal, Ballito in the Aluminium Industry is looking for an experienced Aluminium Fitter / Installer to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of aluminium windows, doors, and shopfront systems on-site, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and in line with quality standards. This position is site-based and requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with strong technical ability and professionalism when dealing with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
· Install aluminium windows, doors, and shopfront systems according to specifications.
· Read and interpret shop drawings and floor plans accurately.
· Ensure correct alignment, levelling, and finishing of all installations.
· Carry out glazing, sealing, and final finishing to a high standard.
· Inspect installations to ensure quality standards are met.
· Identify and resolve installation challenges on-site.
· Maintain tools, equipment, and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
· Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with clients on-site.
· Comply with all company procedures, health and safety regulations, and site requirements.
Required Abilities:
· Excellent technical understanding of aluminium installation processes.
· High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Professional conduct when interacting with clients and team members.
· Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering quality work.
Required Skills and Experience:
· Matric (Grade 12) advantageous.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in aluminium installation.
· Proven experience installing aluminium windows, doors, and shopfronts.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and floor plans.
· Basic understanding of fabrication processes (cutting, crimping, drilling, glazing) advantageous.
· Valid South African driver’s license essential.
· Own reliable transport advantageous.
· Physically fit and able to work on-site.
Salary (CTC) depending on experience.
