Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Airport Assistant to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the airport, providing support to airport staff, and ensuring a positive experience for all airport users.
Key Responsibilities:
– Greet and assist airport visitors with any inquiries or requests
– Provide information about airport facilities, services, and flight schedules
– Monitor and maintain cleanliness and safety of airport facilities
– Assist with checking and processing of passenger tickets and baggage
– Coordinate with airport staff and airlines to ensure smooth flight operations
– Respond to emergency situations and follow established protocols
– Handle lost and found items and assist with lost baggage claims
– Assist with airport security procedures and monitor for any suspicious activity
– Complete administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping
– Other duties as assigned by airport management Requirements:
– High school diploma or equivalent
– Previous customer service experience is preferred
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
– Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
– Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
