Job description
The Training Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering effective training programs tailored specifically for technical staff within the organization. This role is crucial in ensuring that employees are well-versed in technical systems, software applications, and operational procedures necessary to excel in their roles. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in technical training and a strong understanding of adult learning principles, enabling them to create engaging and impactful training experiences. In addition to training delivery, the Training Specialist will also be responsible for evaluating training effectiveness and making data-driven adjustments to curricula. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with subject matter experts and line managers to ensure that training is aligned with business goals and meets the evolving needs of the organization. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as this role requires interacting with personnel at all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for technical staff in collaboration with subject matter experts.
- Deliver engaging training sessions utilizing various instructional methods, including workshops, webinars, and e-learning platforms.
- Assess the training needs of employees through surveys, interviews, and performance evaluations to identify skill gaps.
- Create clear and concise training documentation, including manuals, guides, and multimedia resources to enhance learning retention.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance data, and implement improvements as necessary.
- Maintain training records and documentation to comply with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate onboarding programs for new employees to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
- Continuously update training materials to reflect the latest technical developments and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify ongoing training and development needs across the organization.
- Support the development of a learning culture by promoting continuous professional development opportunities for staff.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Bachelor's degree, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 4 years years developing technical training programs
- Experience training users on AI/ML tools.
- Proven experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning tools
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theories and methodologies
- Ability to create training materials (documentation, videos, quick reference guides)
