Role Description
We are seeking a full-time AI Innovation Manager – Banking and Payment to lead and implement AI-driven solutions in our banking and payment services. The role involves identifying opportunities for AI applications, designing and deploying AI models, analyzing banking and payment data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our service offerings and business operations. You will stay updated on AI advancements in the banking and fintech space, ensuring WayaBank remains at the forefront of technology innovation. This is a hybrid role based in Lekki, offering flexibility for remote work and on-site collaboration as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science, with experience in applying these technologies to banking and payment systems
- Strong analytical skills, including expertise in data collection, data modeling, and predictive analytics
- Knowledge of fintech and banking operations, including personal and business banking, payment collections, and transfer systems
- Project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and familiarity with AI tools and frameworks
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset, paired with the ability to innovate and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in the fintech or banking sector is a strong advantage
