Administrative Programme coordinator:
Responsible for the administrative tasks that ensure successful delivery of the University of East London programmes. The job involves liaison with various departments, faculty and staff members within the EUE.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Sets s schedule and timetables for the academic year.
- Handles any updates or changes to academic timetable, whether permanent or temporary.
- Liaises with Admissions team to provide reports about students admitted to programmes, in terms of numbers, eligibility, and status updates.
- Liaises with the Registrar, to ensure online registration of students in programmes and relevant courses/modules both within EUE and on the University of East London student portal.
- Provides necessary arrangements for examinations in terms of timetables, rooms, answer booklets,…etc.
- Delivers and collects student surveys.
- Liaises with IT department for any IT related issues to ensure smooth delivery of the programmes.
- Liaises with the Student Information System (SIS) team for any updates or requirements related to the programmes on the SIS, to ensure an efficient system.
- Refers students to appropriate campus resources for assistance; communicates findings to coaches and administrators.
- Maintains student files and records; documents all pertinent student information; updates computerized information system regarding changes to student status.
- Interprets and explains college and university policies and procedures; participates in preparation of orientations and events that include the University of East London programmes.
- Gathers and/or calculates necessary information such as GPA's or enrollment statistics; prepares various reports as requested.
- Facilitates non-academic issues for academic staff, to ensure smooth delivery of the programmes.
- Assists Academic Director and Programme Leaders in non-academic issues to ensure smooth and successful delivery of the programmes.
- Attends staff meetings within the University University of East London programmes, whenever needed.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
o Education:
- Bachelor’s degree is a must
o Experience:
- 5+ years of experience with a minimum of 3 in the same field
- Having Experience in School/University is a Plus
o Skills:
- Have track record in teaching at reputable university.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
o Competencies
- Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable dealing with senior officials, parents & students and ability to use diplomacy in communication
- Perfect Knowledge of Academic degrees
- Excellent communication skills to deal with programme leaders, director, and University of London administrative staff.
- Knows departmental and University policies and practices in sufficient detail to provide students with accurate and usable information
- Capable of writing and preparing reports related to programmes and students.
- Capable of using Excel for providing students reports.
- Familiar and capable of using the Student Information System.
