Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Reporting to: Finance, Administration, & HR Director

Location: Onsite

Based at: Kempton Park, South Africa.

Role Overview

We currently have vacancies for Administrative Assistants in our Kempton Park Office. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day preparation, verification, and readiness of airfreight shipments for billing.

The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and the capacity to work effectively within a team environment. The position supports administrative and accounting services for companies directly linked to airlines and international air cargo operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and process airfreight shipment data for billing

Verify rates and prepare invoices in accordance with shipment details

Enter and maintain shipment data within internal systems

Reconcile billing information and analyze data for accuracy

Create reports and spreadsheets to support billing operations

Monitor shipment costs and identify discrepancies or billing issues

Communicate with international airlines and European partner companies

Support the team in ensuring accurate and timely billing of air cargo shipments

Work collaboratively with internal teams to maintain smooth operational workflows

 

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Airfreight operational experience

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to reconcile and analyze operational data

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Desirable:

Knowledge of airfreight billing

Background in transport, logistics, international trade, or administration

Skills & Competencies

Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency

Good analytical and problem-solving ability

Observant and detail-oriented

Ability to work under deadlines

Strong communication skills in English (First Certificate or strong conversational ability)

Proactive, organized, and eager to learn
