Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Admin Assistant and HR Officer role based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The role is responsible for providing administrative support, including managing correspondence, organizing files, scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and assisting with office logistics. The Admin Assistant and HR Officer will support HR operations by maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment activities, coordinating interviews, and supporting onboarding and orientation processes. The role will help implement HR policies and procedures, support employee relations activities, and assist in the development and updating of job descriptions. The position also involves coordinating with different departments, preparing basic reports, and ensuring that office and HR administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR), including HR Management and practical understanding of HR Policies.
- Experience supporting Employee Relations, including handling basic employee inquiries and assisting with HR communications.
- Ability to contribute to Job Description Development and maintenance of accurate HR and personnel records.
- Proven administrative skills, including document preparation, scheduling, filing, and basic data entry and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional local language skills are an advantage.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Comfort working with office software (e.g., MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and willingness to learn HR or logistics-related systems.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in an administrative or junior HR role, ideally within logistics, warehousing, or related industries, is an asset.
