Overview
The Life Enrichment position is designed for individuals passionate about enhancing the quality of life for seniors through engaging activities and personalized care. Responsibilities
– Develop and implement individualized life enrichment programs tailored to the needs and interests of residents.
– Facilitate recreational activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional health, including arts and crafts, games, music therapy, and exercise classes.
– Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) while encouraging independence and self-esteem.
– Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
– Organize events and outings that foster community engagement and socialization among residents.
– Provide support for memory care initiatives, including specialized activities for individuals with dementia or cognitive impairments.
– Maintain accurate records of resident participation in activities and assess their effectiveness in enhancing quality of life.
Requirements
– Previous experience in caregiving or senior care is preferred.
– Knowledge of recreational therapy principles and practices is highly desirable.
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
– Ability to plan and execute engaging events that cater to diverse interests and abilities.
– Familiarity with memory care techniques and best practices for supporting individuals with dementia.
– Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the lives of seniors.
– Flexibility to adapt activities based on resident needs and preferences.
